Magex announces change to Management Team
18th August 2003
Magex Ltd., a leading European provider of Person-to-Person (P2P) and Person-to-Merchant (P2M) Internet and mobile payment services today announced that Michael Keegan, formerly Magex Chief Operating Officer has been promoted to the position of Magex Chief Executive Officer, and that Steven L. Fingerhood has been named to the position of Magex Chairman.

Michael Keegan has been with Magex in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer for almost 18 months and prior to that spent 5 years with MasterCard International. Keegan takes over from Josh Groves who will remain with Magex in his new role of Vice-Chairman. Steven L. Fingerhood has been a Director of Magex since its inception in early 2000. Josh Groves will be based predominantly in the United States where he will focus on spearheading Magex's move into the Americas and Asia Pacific regions.

I am delighted to have been appointed CEO of Magex said Michael Keegan. Magex has enjoyed incredible success over the last 12 months and is very pleased to have both MasterCard and Royal Bank of Scotland as customers amongst others. I am looking forward to building on this success in the future. I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Josh Groves on his new appointment and thank him for all that he contributed during his time as CEO.

Josh Groves, Magex Vice-Chairman said I'm excited by the challenge the new position of Magex Vice-Chairman brings and have every confidence that Michael Keegan will guide Magex to long-term success. Whilst I'll be based predominantly outside the UK, I expect to remain involved in the day-to-day business of Magex.

Steven L. Fingerhood, Magex Chairman said I speak for all the shareholders when I say how delighted we are with these management changes. Josh will continue to be a key part of the management team in his new role based in the U.S., and Michael has everyone’s confidence in leading Magex as the company expands its business and supports its customers.

Further changes include the appointment of Lester Hochberg as a Magex board member, and Robin Lee, as Magex Sales Director.
