Magex has implemented several mobile channels
in its Managed Payments Platform, which make it easy for consumers to
choose the mobile payment method easiest for them using just a few simple
taps of the phone pad.
An excellent example is the
MasterCard
MoneySend service distributed by member banks in
Europe. Bank customers can send funds from their debit
or credit cards directly to any other person in Europe
just by making a quick phone call to an automated response
service. The service automatically confirms the consumer's
mobile phone number, and then presents several options
enabling consumers to check balances or send funds.

This gives the consumer a powerful payment tool, reduces
cash transactions, and improves the payee's margin on
collectibles. It also enables banks to provide low-cost
but meaningful payment services to traditionally unbanked
or under-served customers, allowing consumers without
access to a PC, credit card, or checks to easily
make
electronic payments using their mobile phones.
